Early 19th Century
Each figure formed as a ferocious lion dog sat on its haunches, with crisply-cast features such as sharp teeth, piercing eyes, curling tufts of fur and long slender ears, sat atop a square-form base decorated in relief with blossoms borne from curling stems and ‘wan’ diaper grounds, the bronze surface bearing a rich, elegant patina.
Condition:
In good condition, with some age-related wear as is to be expected with bronzes of this age.
