Early 20th Century.
The circular box and cover of compressed cylindrical form, decorated to the cover with polychrome blossoms borne from leafy stems, all on a bright blue ground worked with wire cloisons formed as interconnected ‘wan’ symbols, the sides decorated with different coloured prunus flowerheads.
Condition: Some small areas of damage to the inside of the cover. Light wear as expected with pieces of this type and age.
